moral/sponge mushrooms are up here in ohio.

i went out this evening b4 dark just down the road in the woods and found 28 of them,in abaout a 20 foot area. going to rain now for a couple days. then ill go back and look in the rest of the woods. i find them every year in this woods not the same spots always but same woods. i have many spots here around a 20 mile radius i find mushrooms. there are several differnt kids of sponge mushrooms here in ohio and michigan. oh yea i go up to michigan and hunt them also!the first mushrooms up are what i call black sponge they are tan to brownish black in color and sasafrass or better known as dog pekers,greys are the 2nd group up, a grey in color,and then there are 2 to three differnt colors of yellows,that are the last up.
here are some pics of the first yellows of the year that are up, they are very fresh and firm,there wil be bigger and still firm yellows next ,then last will be a great big soft yellow mushroom to finish the season here in ohio. im not sure but im told that these can be sold from $50 to $70 per pound. wow huh ive found bushels full of them b4...
