We will be having a 24 Hour Hogs Marathon and would like to hear from all of our members. Tell us when you think the best day to conduct the event would be. What site you would prefer. What games you would be interested in playing. If you would like several tournaments set at different times. If we should have several SnG's available. Amounts you would be willing to buy-in for. Any ideas are welcome.

I participated in one, unfortunately I could not play all as I had to wake up early the following day. Sites good for me are Full Tilt, Cake Poker, Ultimate Bet and PokerStars. Buy ins up to $5.50 for Full Tilt and PokerStars.

Very cool idea KB...Rio is cool being that we spend most of our time there anyway....maybe buy-ins could be same as the pen NL Holdem...$1.10. Maybe we could have one thats like 3.30 and take some of the money from that to have a freeroll with rebuys or a huge bounty game with rebuys at the end of the marathon for those that participated...as most said, a weekend would be cool...or do it like a Friday or Saturday night at 8pm to Saturday or Sunday 8pm......any day is fine really. I will be working during the day but I would love to volunteer to sit in on air for the late night hours....

We now have a tentative date set for our 24 Hour Hogs Marathon. We will be playing at both Spin32 and RIO beginning Saturday, August 23rd at 12:00A.M. in Spin and the last game will be set for Sunday, August 24th at 1:00A.M. in RIO. This will give everyone that have limited funds to build their bankrolls or deposit at each site. If you need any help with deposits for either site, please let me know and I will assist you any way that I can.

We will be broadcasting live throughout the entire event with different hosts/hostesses and giving away prizes randomly, so make sure to have Hogs radio open and even download skype for special call in contests. www.skype.com and add me >
kbreeze63. Anyone is more than welcome to join us on air.

All games should be setup in the private tournaments tabs, but will  NOT be password protected and anyone can join. The only games that will have passwords will be the freerolls and those passwords will be given out on the air, so again make sure to tune us in for these events. You can find our link by clicking on the jukebox on the main forum page underneath our chat box.

Hope to see a huge turnout for this event and let's have some fun with this.

May I make a suggestion? For those of us playing Friday night games (such as the upcoming SC league), you're not leaving us a lot of time to have a nap and then begin the 24-hour marathon. So now it becomes, for us that work during the day, a 48 or 60 hour marathon. I'm not quite 21 anymore, that's all I'll say. 24 hours I can deal with. But once I get around 36 (and I have recently had experience with this), I get a little cranky and need a nap.

In my opinion only, I'd rather see it start like 7AM on Saturday. Unless you know something we don't (or in my case, have forgotten).

I had originally planned to do it like that, but began to think about those that may prefer the Sunday activities and wouldn't want to play through te night, then have to sleep during the day. This allows for some evening time rest and still get back on normal schedule for work week. Also the SC league games will be played on Saturday nights.

Good one, Moody.  And you complain about MY senior moments?  Seriously, though, I may have to take a break from the marathon in order to play the SC league.  As I've said before - I don't do well trying to play more than one table at a time.  But I'm looking forward to it.  Sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

Okay all, I realize the marathon doesn't start for a few weeks yet, but the games are now posted at both Spin32 and RIO in the Private tabs. If you do not have these sites downloaded yet please do so by clicking on the banner links at the bottom of the main forum page and get registered so we can have a great turnout.

Cya all there!
